Pishishi is a multicultural female fronted metal Berlin-based band, born in the shadows of urban landscapes and social networks of a distant industrial city. The band emerged from the desire to uncover hidden aspects of existence that remain invisible in everyday “normalcore” and to explore and expand the boundaries of consciousness. Their music is a journey through parallel realities, where time and space become mere constructs.

Pishishi’s sound is rooted in heavy music, blending conceptual ideas and deep philosophical reflections. Each member of the band plays a unique role, intertwining their personal worlds into a cohesive creation that transcends ordinary perception.

The band, founded in 2021 in Berlin by Kvila and Tilarids, initially developed as a philosophy of post-metal and noir melancholy and has mutated into grunge sludge metal. Tilarids’ background in southern rock, as a member of Devio Hail for six years, brought a solid foundation in metal composition, while Kvila contributed her own creative depth as a songwriter and performer.

Pishishi continues to evolve and refine its unique style, aiming to bring it to a larger stage. Pishishi’s music blurs the lines between stability and illusion, challenging perceptions of reality and inviting listeners to explore the mysteries of consciousness with Tilarids as the guitarist/bass guitarist, and music composer, and Kvila as the vocalist and drummer.

Kvila

Kvila, the vocalist and drummer, sees herself as a multifaceted entity existing across different points in time and space. Her identity is fragmented into numerous parallel realities, each with its own unique shade. For her, paint is an illusion that creates and erases—it is her way of breathing.

Sometimes I speak of myself in the third person, acknowledging the countless versions of my “self” in different realities.

Her voice serves as a guide through multidimensional labyrinths, where the boundaries between the conscious and the subconscious, the real and the illusory, dissolve.

Tilarids

Tilarids, the guitarist and engineer of unpredictability, constantly challenges the stability and perfection of existence. He injects complex elements into reality, disrupting the conventional perception of the world and dismantling the illusion of an ideal world. His compositions introduce chaos into the structure of reality, manifesting as glitches, errors, and distortions. His disruptions shatter the conventional perception of reality, challenging the concept of “normalcy” and opening doors to a world where each person confronts the layered complexity of their inner self.

Style

Pishishi is dedicated to creating sophisticated, entangled, and unique heavy music, striving to establish their own distinctive style. Their mission is to help people unlock their inner worlds, revealing the parts of themselves they often hide from the external world—and, more importantly, from themselves. It’s frightening, but it’s essential: to be yourself in a world where normalcy dictates everything. The band urges acceptance of all versions of oneself, with all their flaws and chaos, and to find strength in that acceptance.
